This has to be another of my favourite prints. I have had custom orders closed for nearly 4 weeks but looking through all my fabric today I thought this would make a beautiful present for a little girl for Christmas.  It's rectangular 53x36cm with any colour backing you wish at $28 for cover only.

Bunting for a Christening

Cushions

Change Mat Cover.

And one of my favourite prints...Hoo's in the Forest front and back.

Santa is has arrived!!

Well yes as much as we hide from it, it's that time of year and again and honestly I have no idea how it came so quickly!!  Truly we say it every year but when someone said it's only 7 weeks away it was like 'what the'!
So in the festive cheer I have been working on Santa Sacks for my lovely customers.

I've been very overwhelmed with the response and the fabrics this year are just so beautiful and bright with prints for everyones taste.  So please if your interested stop by my page as I will need to close orders off soon to make sure they are all completed before Christmas.

New Line #3 : Quilts

Quilts are very new and I am very new to quilts.  I can't do fancy things and have had someone help me do the top stitching until I feel confident doing it myself, I would hate to put all the work into making it only to muck it up.  I have a couple of customer orders I am about to start working on as soon as fabrics arrive.

I will be totally honest I am not a fan of chuck any fabric on a quilt and it's done! I like to have coordinating fabrics or from the same fabric story.  I also like quilts that you can see the work and not look at it and it's all over the place and going in every direction.  I know there are alot out there that love it but sometimes they can be just too much for the eye and it looks like someone has thrown up on them.
I am hoping this becomes a major part of LiL Moo & Mee but also hoping my skills develop enough that you guys make it a part of LiL Moo & Mee!

New Line #2 : Change Mat Cover

This is our Change mat cover which can be  made for any size.  It has elastic around it like a fitted sheet to make removal for washing easy and no velcro which tends to collect all the fibres in the wash.  This one is made from cotton but can be made from Minky and cotton or all minky.
The price for this is $35.

New Lines: Bunting

Bunting is something that can be used for any occasion, whether it be to decorate a childs room, Birthday party, garden party or wedding.  It's becoming increasingly popular and the best thing is it can be made using my left over scraps!

This starts at $3 per flag.

Slack

Well I have been slack, infact down right lazy not updating my Blog, I mean how am I suppose to get regular readers if I'm not writing anything???  I have to admit the balance between my business, my 3 yr old and running a house had been a little off keel and with hubby working longer hours and 6 days a week with his new job I sort of had to concentrate on our beautiful boy a little more, but I don't care he's my pride and joy and I would do anything for him.

Anyway what has LiL Moo & Mee been upto??  We have introduced a couple of new lines into the business, I've had to close off custom orders for a few weeks to catch up and I'm also planning on what I want to bring into the business next year.....so stay tuned!!

I Finished the other cushion

I finally finished the other cushion to go with the first one.  I am so happy with the end result especially with it being my first attempt. Making sure each line and row matched up wasn't the easiest and when I sewed it together, I had to hope that the fabric hadn't moved and thrown it out of alignment.
It's been posted off to it's new how...twin little girls and I hope they like them as much as I did making them.

My First Panel Cushion

I have to admit because I am only still learning different ways to sew cushions, when a friend asked me to make her 2 cushions with 4 panels on each side out of the Darla Range of fabrics I really thought it was going to be a shamozal.
It took me nearly a week to plan each panel out on paper then when I thought it was ok, I wondered if it looked right because the fabric was so not my taste, I always saw it as very old fashioned. After passing a few designs past a couple of my friends in The Sewing Sisterhood I found out that alot of the fabric is discontinued. So it took me half a week to try and hunt down the fabric.

Well here is one of the cushions I completed today and there is another one on the way!

I have to say I am so happy with it and it looks brilliant! The colours really compliment each other and now I have to urge to do more, So now I just need people to order them lol.

I actually have some plans this week for some cushions that have 3 straight panels in it. This is one of the combinations:

And this is the other:

So stay tuned for the end results!

I got a New Book

I just bought this book and I love it. It's not really for the experienced sewer as they would probably find it as a "I know all that" book.

There some future projects I can see happening with this book and I can't wait to give them ago.

Fabric

I love fabric, which is weird because before there was sewing there was clothing and that was my obsession but now I haven't even looked at winter clothing this season which could be a problem now it's officially winter. It has to be bright, don't get me wrong I like most of it but bright makes me happy, especially when it's a finished product. With all the Spring/Summer fabrics coming out in the US I think I am going to have to put myself on a ban....baaaa haaaaaaaa!
