New Fabric on its way

Pretty excited to have some new but different fabrics on order. These will be pre made and it onto my website.
I seem to have had some great feedback on my Facebook page, so hoping that's a good sign.

The best compliment from someone you look up to!

I have to say I am pretty excited today.  I lovvvvvve Riley Blake fabrics, I just love the designers she chooses, the colours, variety of designs and just the way she runs her business.  Well a few weeks ago I posted a picture of the All stars 2 quilt I made a few months ago and today I was given a response of 


Riley Blake Designs: That would look great in my son's room! Fantastic job!

Now I have no idea if that came directly from her but even to have someone who works for her is good enough for me.  As a mum who runs a small handmade business from home in Australia, something like this means alot to me and just gives you that little perk.....oh what the heck it gave me a HUGE buzz!

Our first lot of citrus

Pretty excited as these are our first lot of citrus we have had off our tree's.  We also have a mandarin and orange tree which both have fruit but will be interesting to see if we actual get to sample some this year.

Expanding

I'm going to expand on my range of products soon.  I am wanting to go into the Home Decor range such as Decor cushions, outdoor cushions and matching table settings.  Its going to be a bit of hit and miss to start with, but hey I guess that's where we learn.  I was so sick of trying to find what I wanted in shops and then when I did I needed a bank loan for one half of the cushion.  Why would I want anyone even sitting near one if I was paying a fortune, not to mention having a 3 yr old.  I just don't understand why anyone would spend a fortune on one cushion, yep maybe nice but OMG really....ok maybe I'm jealous lol.

The main fabric choices are Geometric for now, not really a floral unless it grabs me straight away.

I can see I am going to have a massive headache just choosing the fabrics as there is sooooooooo may to choose from.  Then when I do its the colours.

These cushions are also going to be the main reason to finally launch my website which has been under construction for way too long and I can take the blame for that as something always comes up then I forget about it.  My dad is designing it for me and I swear everytime I mention it he grows older, thinking here we go again.  

I am thinking of selling them in sets of 2 as well as the singles but maybe the option of different prints because lets face it, most of us buy different printed cushions not 2 or 3 the same...what do you think??

I would love your opinions, as you as the consumer know what you want. Just because I like it doesn't mean you will, so please fire aways ready to take notes!!

Santa Sacks for 2012

Inspired

Well I have been inspired to get back into Blogging.  I need somewhere to chat to people or just to myself lol if that makes sense.  Infact someone who inspired me was Jeanie from Inspired Wish and I thank her for the advice.  So with some advice I've started to clean up my Blog, take all the clutter away and am about start fresh.  I still have a few more things to add and take away but one step at a time.

I'd love you to get to know the real me, my family, my business and even how I make the choices I do when choosing fabrics.  I'd love your feedback and more so your comments and more so a chat...I lovvvvve a chat!!

There are a few things about to be re-introduced into LiL Moo & Mee such as Santa Sacks and brand new lines such as Home Decor Cushion covers which will be made out of not only cotton but also the option of Decor fabrics, so slightly thicker.  It will also mean the opening of my first Website www.lilmooandmee.com.au where I will be selling the Decor Cushion covers from and I'm a little excited about that.

At this point I'm not going to lock in certain days for posting because I would like to do it fairly regular for the practice :o)

This is a King single Quilt with chocolate Minky backing for a wonderful customer. The fabric is All Stars 2 but Riley Blake.

I so want this!

Asked hubby to make me one, his response was to ask my dad because he would do a better job....passing the buck I'm tipping lol.

Home Decor

I love home decor cushions but don't get chance to make any to actually show customers. I'm actually hoping next yr I get a little more time once Master 3 starts 4 year old kinder.

These ones were made for a family member.

Luck of the Irish

This is a custom quilt for one of my lovely customers. Infact this is her 2nd quilt from me with another Irish one to come later in May.

The squares are all 4" and very fiddley but a challenge at the least.

Another 2 quilts to finish

These two quilt tops need to be finished and will be offered for sale. Both are crib size.

The making of a quilt

I've made a promise to myself that I will blog more often, yes yes I say that a lot but I need to not only for myself but to let you know what's happening in the world of LiL Moo & Mee and Lso my world. Not going to just talk shop that can get boring and I am happy to answer questions you would like to know.

I'm working on some great customer order right now including a few quilts and I'm hoping to produce a few more quilts that I can put up for sale. Would love to hear what fabrics you would like to see in a quilt.

Anyway will post some pics soon of this years works so far.

Well happy 2012 everyone, hope you all had a fantastic Christmas!!
I have been a bad girl, anyone would think I've been busy or something! I have some creations to show you but my hard drive crashed 2 days before Christmas so I need to save them again from page so stay tuned!
I also am introducing Wedding Ring Pillows which are showing some interested already before I have launched them, so really looking forward to that.

I will be back tomorrow to write a proper post and some photo's.
